Discover the Benefits of Green Building!
What is Green Building?
Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water, and materials, and reducing building impacts on human health and the environment through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal — the complete building life cycle.
Celtic Building Company has been building green for over 21 years. We have always believed in a greener, more sustainable future and we have always incorporated green techniques in its construction practices. Aside from the obvious use of efficient floor plans, below is a list of some other techniques that Celtic Building Company employs and their direct benefits to the homeowner and to the environment.

What Qualifies a Home as ENERGY STAR Certified?
ENERGY STAR qualified homes can include a variety of "tried-and-true" energy efficient features that contribute to improved home quality and homeowner comfort, and to lower energy demand and reduce air pollution.
A recent home built and sold by Celtic Building Company at Glenmoore in Blowing Rock scored an Energy Star rating of 67 which translates into a 33% reduction in energy costs over a house built to the current energy code.
